St. Louis Black Heritage Network Committee - The mission of the St. Louis Black Heritage Network is to build a continuous engaging community that elevates crucial stories and the everyday lives of African American history within St. Louis and the surrounding regions. The vision is to cultivate a space where heritage, education, and preservation of the Black experience can be accessed by all.

Counterpublic - Counterpublic is a civic exhibition that weaves contemporary art into the daily life of St. Louis. Held for three months every three years, Counterpublic addresses pressing questions, historical legacies, and the possibilities of the city's future through responsive artistic projects. Following a year-long process of community engagement in which St. Louis neighbors were invited to reflect upon the most urgent needs facing their communities, Counterpublic determined to focus its 2023 edition on public memory and reparative futures—how our history is told, held and healed, and how our future is envisioned collectively towards new liberated lifeways. Counterpublic 2023’s path along Jefferson Avenue engaged some of the most essential histories in the region, from Mill Creek Valley, Laclede Town, Pruitt-Igoe, and Sugarloaf Mound to new developments shaping the present landscape, including CITYPARK stadium and The Brickline Greenway, by bringing together thirty-plus leading and emergent artists, curators, architects, collectives and community partners to reimagine civic infrastructures towards generational change.

Elder Wisdom Project - The Elder Wisdom Project is a mission to interconnect the generations of St. Louis through interviews of seniors in the area, reaching children, teens and adults with social media. The 1st phase of the project begins with a compilation of videos acquired for the purpose of gaining and sharing wisdom and personal advice of the elders in our community. Interviews take place at the location of the elder’s comfort and are performed by members of OurStLouisHiSTORY.com. These interviews are shared with the families and neighbors of these elders, as well as, with descendants of the area for years to come! Phase 2 will include at-risk youth who will perform interviews, edit and track an online repository of interviews, for the long term storage of these ancestral documentaries. 

Saving Washington Park - Saving Washington Park is a 100th Anniversary multi-year effort to restore Washington Park Cemetery, an historic African American cemetery in a wretched state of neglect and disrepair. We have begun a mission to restore this sacred grounds and ancestral repository, heal this ongoing community trauma and return this beautiful cultural heritage site back to a landmark St. Louis will be proud of.

Our St. Louis HiSTORY -  Our St. Louis HiSTORY is a community platform for cultural, ancestral and historical stories and education.  We specialize in Digital Humanities, Community Empowerment and Historic Preservation. Our programs use education, documentation, community outreach and innovation, as a means to build community in St. Louis, as well as, encourage social and economic development. Our programs benefit both local residents and non-St. Louisans from elementary age to senior citizens.
